Rahul sleeps during debate on Dalits in Lok Sabha

A video grab appeared on Wednesday showing Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi sleeping inside the Lok Sabha during a heated debate on the Dalit unrest in Gujarat.
Congress leaders came to his defence, offering a variety of explanations. Senior leader Renuka Choudhary argued, “How can anyone sleep amid such uproar.” Another one said that Rahul was in deep thought. By closing eyes, you are able to concentrate better on a subject, he said.
The mainstream as well as social media was agog with comments and jokes doing the rounds.
