Heptulla, Siddeshwara resign as ministers

Minority Affairs Minister Najma A. Heptulla and Minister of State for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises G.M. Siddeshwara tendered their resignations on Tuesday to President Pranab Mukherjee. The resignations have been accepted with immediate effect.

M.A. Naqvi, Minister of State, has taken over as independent charge of the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Babul Supriyo has been assigned the portfolio of Minister of State in the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises. He has also been relieved of the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Urban Development and the Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation.
