Gatiman Exp may start in second week of Apr

Normal operations of Gatiman Express, India’s first semi-high speed train, are likely to be delayed by at least a week.

Stopped after two children were run over by it on March 22, the train was expected to resume services on April 1. But Railway officials are worried about safety aspects. They want to railings to be put in place so that the tracks could not be trespassed.

It may be recalled that the March 22 accident was a trespass case. The entire Delhi-Agra track has not been fenced off.
